Rothco Supports Our Community

The Gerald J. Ryan Outreach Center With
Their Donation from Rothco's Holiday Charity
Throughout our 60 years in business, Rothco has been steadfast in our commitment to giving back to local charities

In 2015, Rothco had the honor of collaborating with The Gerald J. Ryan Outreach Center, a non-for-profit organization serving Wyandanch, NY (a town near Rothco's headquarters of Ronkonkoma, NY) and its surrounding communities. The center focuses in on After School Programs, Summer Camp, Food Pantry, Holiday Support, Financial Support and more.

Rothco as an organization this year helped support their Summer Camp Program; employees volunteered during the holiday season at their center, and we helped raise money for their organization through our Holiday Charity Program. This past holiday season Rothco Employee's and Corporate Matching Program helped raise over $245,000; a portion of the money raised went to The Gerald J. Ryan Outreach Center

Earlier this month, Rothco was honored to have members of the Outreach Center visit our office's and present Rothco with a beautiful plaque in recognition of our work with their organization.

Rothco is truly grateful we can come together as a team and help our community.

Rothco Survival Tip: Batoning Wood

Batoning wood is a useful technique for camping or survival scenario. If you find yourself in the position where you don't have an axe and need dry firewood or need to make the wood of an adequate size, this method will prove helpful.

All you'll need is a fixed blade knife and "baton"; any sturdy, existing piece of wood at your disposal will do. It's best to find a stump or other solid surface to baton on. Wedge the knife into the center of the wood and then drive the knife through the wood with the baton.

We Did It Again. Rothco's Holiday Charity Program Breaks More Records!

Rothco is excited and honored to announce the continued success of our Holiday Charity Program. For over a decade Rothco's team members have come together during the holiday season to raise money for local charities. Together as a team, Rothco raised $247,940 in 2015, beating last year by over $40,000!

Here at Rothco, we realize how fortunate we are and are always looking for ways to give back to the community we call home. That is why we take our holiday charity program so earnestly. Each year we set out to beat last year's total contributions because we know how important it is for everyone to have a happy holiday and how far a dollar can go when you have your company matching the donations by 3X!

A lot of good will come of these donations to these worthy charities in the Rothco area. Rothco is extremely proud of what we were able to accomplish this year. In 2015, Rothco was able to...

  • Help Out 9 Local Charities from Suffolk County, NY
  • 135 Rothco Employees Donated This Year
  • $68,272 Was Raised By Rothco Employees
  • Rothco's Corporation Matched The Donations 3X
  • Raise $247,940 in total as a team
