There is a lot of interesting items to cover and you can see some of them by checking out my presentation below or the list I've included in the blog.
1. Fire Starters – #900 Aurora Fire Starter
(Fire has been a key element since the beginning of time and the need to create fire has not changed. This is a very strong item and because of the variety available an assortment would be recommended.)
2. Rope or Paracord– #303 Paracord
(Paracord has gained popularity for making survival bracelets and other accessories and for a very good reason. It’s ideal to have rope in an emergency or just for basic outdoor needs.)
3. Tools / Knife - #3674 Paracord Knife w/Fire Starter
(A knife is the primary tool of the outdoors. Besides the obvious cutting role, it is also helpful in making other tools or as a weapon if necessary.)
4. Hydration – #2825 MOLLE Hydration Pack
(There are many options from canteens to hydration backpacks or larger hydration compatible backpacks. Whether you are in a survival situation or just enjoying the outdoors it’s important to stay hydrated.)
5. Backpacks – #2287 Medium Transport Pack
(It’s important to offer several different sizes and styles for various application. The “Bug Out Bag” which is a backpack filled with the survival items of choice is a great way to market and sell add on products. Below is the link to the Rothco “Bug Out Bag” flyer. This is a useful tool to help you and your customers consider items they may be missing.
These are just 5 basics but there’s more. By adding items such as stools, portable toilets, eating utensils and cooking items you can easily broaden your offering for a camping section.
Or by adding signal mirrors, survival blanket, water purification items or emergency food you can cater more to a survival base. Whichever direction you wish to grow Rothco has you covered. You can view the entire list of top survival items here.
